Things to do for toddlers in London : a day on the South Bank

millennium-wheelThere’s lots to do on London’s south bank for your little one. If you’re visiting London for the first time you may want to begin by seeing Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. Once you’ve seem the sights choose from the attractions below:

The London Aquarium

The London Aquarium is a great place to take toddlers and young children. We took our son when he was about 17 months. Check out my review.

The Millennium Wheel

I have to confess I haven’t taken my toddler on the millennium wheel but it certainly would be an exciting experience for them. You can take small pushchairs on board and they will look after larger ones for you. The floor is made of glass so they can look out through the floor!

Walk and see the street performers
There are normally lots of street performers in this area which are delightful for kids to look at. Take some time to show your toddler the boats going up and down the river and consider taking them on a short boat trip.

Lots of places to eat
If you continue walking down you will happen upon many child friendly places to eat. There are a lot of chains including Pizza Hut and Giraffe but they are very reasonably priced and very child friendly with highchairs and accomodation for pushchairs. Giraffe is particularly good for the children and normally have balloons and very friendly staff.
