Central London Parks for toddlers.

One of the great things about London is there is always a park or a green space nearby where your toddler can run around, enjoy the playgrounds, watch the wildlife, feed the ducks and let off steam. Here is a round up of all the parks in Central London
St James’s Park is located in the heart of Central London and is a smaller park but it has a lot to offer. Take a walk through from Buckingham Palace to Trafalgar Square and stop off to look at duck island. Duck island is a lake full of ducks, swans (including black swans), some geese and pelicans! Obviously a great place to feed the birds. There are lots of benches to sit down on and you can also sit in a deckchair (although there is a small charge for the deckchairs). There are also very friendly and tame squirrels. It is a lovely park to let your toddler run around a let off steam in between looking at the tourist attractions.
Regents Park is just north of Central London and is the home to London Zoo. At some part of the park that back onto the zoo you can even glimpse some of the animals.
It is a large park, with a large lake home to ducks, geese and swans which your toddler will enjoy feeding. Just be careful they don’t get too close! Like other London parks it is a good place to spot very tame squirrels.
There’s also a children’s boating lack and in the Summer there you can hire rowboats. Also look out for the children’s playground.
Hyde park is a massive park. When your there it’s difficult to remember you’re in London. There’s a big lake where you can hire different paddle and row boats. There ’s also a childen’s playground and lots of space for little ones to toddler or to run around.
Green Park is situated to the north of Buckingham Palace. The best thing about this park for toddler is the extensive playground. There is a big sandpit and swings for your child as well as climbing frames for the older children. There is also a petting zoo, a tiny farm with goats, rabbits, chickens and guinea pigs. Green Park is a nice area for a picnic or to play ball with your child with lots of green lawns. Again very tame squirrels.
