Soft Play in London for Toddlers
Here is a round up of some soft play areas I have heard off in the London area which are suitable for toddlers and under 5s. This is not an exhaustive list, but I will add to it as I discover more. If you’re not sure whether there is a soft play near you, check your local leisure centres as more and more of them are holding soft play sessions for babies, toddlers and the under 5s. Also check out my article on soft play in South East London.
Eddie Katz, Putney and Wimbledon
This sounds great for babies and toddlers. There is a padded toddler only play area, bouncy chairs, kiddie rides and a full range of baby and toddler facilities such as baby changing and bottle warming. Prices are £1.00 for adults, £4.50 for children under 90cm and £5.50 for children between 90cm and 1.55 m. Babies under 8 months are free.
Talacre Treetops Camden
Again this sounds perfect for the toddler age group. Talcre Treetops cost £3.50 per session and on Mondays to Fridays between 9.30am to 12.30pm during term time it’s only open to under 5s. There are specific soft play areas for under 2s and under 5s.
Bramley’s Big Adventure, North Kensington
This indoor play also has a separate area for under 5s with ball pools. There’s also baby changing, a pram park and cafe. Adults are free, children under 2 are £3.50 if they are not a member, £2.50 with membership. Children under 5 are £4.00 in they aren’t a member and £5.00 with membership.
Gambados is the ultimate in indoor play with huge climbing frames, fantastic slides, dodgems and carousels. They have branches in Beckenham, Chelsea and Watford. Adults can go on the play frames and the dodgems with their toddlers. However, it is expensive and probably older toddlers will appreciate it more.
Kensington Leisure Centre
Kensington Leisure Centre has a soft play facility called Courtney’s Jungle Gym
This is suitable for children between 1 and 8 years. It’s currently £1.35 for children under 2 years and £2.70 for children over 2 years.
Kids Zone at the National Army Museum
There’s soft and indoor play at the National Army Museum for 0 to 10 years old which includes a soft play area for babies. Entrance is free although the sessions are timed so you will have to get a ticket for the kids zone from the reception desk for entry. Check out my review of the Kid’s Zone.
Snakes and Ladders Syon Park, Brentford.
Another soft play with a dedicated area for 2 to 5 years. There’s also a cafe.
Brixton Recreation Centre
Brixton Recreation Centre has a soft play open daily for the under 11s, with a specific area for babies and toddlers with a small ball pool and soft play shapes. Click on the link above for a virtual tour of the soft play area.
Wimbledon Leisure Centre has a soft play toddler’s world session (for under 5s) on a Friday between 9.30am and 11.00am. Click on the link above to confirm times and costs.
